The Watergarden is a non-residential initiative for adults with special needs, who find work and social contacts here.

The Watergarden offers nice herbs and flowers, in a formal water garden you can walk along willows along a small stream and a few pools, and you may sit on cosy benches in shady corners. Adjacent a garden-plant shop, a pottery, candle-making workshops and a beautiful cafe shop.

It's an island, a cosy place, a place to feel at home. Wooden floor, orange walls, red roof, wooden bar, beautiful earthen ware for soup and coffee.
The garden provides a therapeutic backdrop to the workplace of the Watergarden and gives everyone experience of the changing seasons.

The impulses of The Watergarden are to create meaningful work for adults with special needs and to bring the Camphill ethos into the wider community.

"Strive not to hold against the world a grudge / and sell the sunshine of thy life for naught" ...

these words are touching deeply my soul.

While I am fumbling around ith my maps I suddenly discover the deep enchantment of the small room, where a lovely girl offers tomato soup and polishes the flatware, where you find people with shiny eyes, and where beautiful silken butterflies are waving from the ceiling.
